Matt Tolfrey certainly knows a dream team when he hears one as Leftroom Limited gets set to deliver the 'Dollsit EP, the debut full release from deep house head Sam Russo with garage/house up-and-comer Huxley featuring a killer remix from Simon Baker.

The collaboration of Huxley and Russo has already produced impressive results with their contribution to the Leftroom 'Summer Soundtrack EP', a record that has garnered huge support from the media and in the clubs. Leftroom Limited now brings their talent to the fore with the duo's first full EP and further reinforces the imprint's capacity for nurturing fresh and distinctive voices in house music. Kicking off the EP, 'Dollsit' is a proper dancefloor work out with a tidy groove, gritty bass and driving claps. The warm synths seep through the tougher beats while melodic keys, seductive vocal snippets and swarms of deep euphoria permeate he atmosphere. Leeds hero and 20:20 Vision favourite Simon Baker delivers a bumping remix packed with chugging b-line, chunky groove and an effective play on the vocal.

'Dumb Safari' offers a blend of musical roots with a super dubby vibe with weighty claps punctuating the warm synth pads, soaring melodies and samba shakes that flourish throughout. 'Reality Check' also epitomises Leftroom Limited's infusion of influences in a mash up of moody hip-hop style vocals and deep house.

Leftroom Limited is a stable for off-kilter sounds residing outside the confines of genre with a real focus on distinctive voices in UK house music. Sam Russo is comfortably settling into the Leftroom family and the young London producer will surely grow in stature as his career progresses. Michael Dodman aka Huxley is consistently proving his worth with a string of acclaimed releases on labels such as Cecile, Hypercolor and Tsuba. It's a safe bet this won't be the last we hear from this super duo, with the 'Dollsit EP' setting the precedent sky high.
