Camera Broken, Codex Broken

I'm tired of all this run around. I need to get a new camera. I have one with a busted mic that I can't turn off while I record video (it's a Microsoft Lifecam NX 6000) and I have a great high quality camera that puts out video in .mp4 format, which I can't edit at all. I can upload them to YouTube, but can't edit them down from being over 10 minutes once I get them here. I'm sick of this video bullshit. I'll think what will happen is I'll finish out the week like I planned but then then go do something else. Video is not my medium at all.
