@xtjc I know what I'm looking for. The change of shape and how much it fills the mouth, is a basic aspect of good brass sound. Since this player seems to have a very good sound, I "KNOW" that the player is subtly adjusting the shape of the tongue. I can see some quick movement of the tongue right after the attacks. There may be less adjusting for the trumpet player than the horn. Size of instrument matters. Higher instruments likely need less adjusting.

how did you manage to notice the change in tongue shape? I couldn't notice any major change. They just seem to say the same.
