  • Pitching is a sideways body movement led first by the front hip not the front foot to front foot touch down with no body rotation & a stride length to touch down matching one's body height the hips then first rotate creating "HIP" & "SHOULDER" "SEPARATION" then the shoulders immediately follow/rotate leading the arm & hand on to the release point & finally the ball out of the finger tips at release point.

These movements must be executed in proper sequence at proper time.

  • After ball release follow on through into a nice flat back fielding position letting the arm & hand come to a momentary rest beside the glove hand knee which allows for the alleviation of the tension, strain and abuse created to those body parts negatively effected during the throwing movement & allows those body parts to relax & become ready for their following pitching sequences.

What I basically view with pitchers is that the arm is doing the work instead of the body.
