While the Kansas City Royals were playing the Detroit Tigers on August 8, 2011 a wall cloud came in from the west and blew water like a hurricane out of the fountains and sent snow cone cups dancing along the walkway, Fans hid inside while the ground crew raced across the field with the giant tarp. The tarp was folded and the game continued, royals win 5 to 4. The storm knocked the power out for 37,000 KCPL customers. We got our own poer back at 11am the next day.
