Hello again! I was wondering if there was a difference between the beyerdynamic dtx 50s and the dtx 50 Ps, or of the dtx 50s don't exist all together. Thanks!

The DTX501p is a Soundmagic P30 OEM as far as I know, and the trailing 'P' means portable (as far as I know), much like the 'T70p' portable as contrasted with the non-portable version. For Beyerdynamic 'portable' mostly means low impedance. Beyer also uses the 'DTX' prefix for several IEM's, which I'm not familiar with. They don't release many DTX full size portable headphones, and the only 2 that I know of are the DTX300p and DTX501p.

Yes, the DTX501p is a much better deal than the PX series, even at full price.

DTX 501p, is awesome, tough Senns did a great job too, I got my Beyer for $80 only through bargain, and it comes with Carrying case, foldable, nice soft earcups and, strong build, Very deep Bass(for a small headphone) and good detail too, you will be satisfied ,and it looks humble and cool.

My recommendation for the price that's charged for the PX-200ii is, get the Beyerdynamic DTX501p or the Logitech UE4000. Both cost about the same or only slightly more, both have a full hi-fi sound, and neither has the nuisance analog volume control on the cable.

I don't actually have the set of headphones, I just can't spend too much money on a pair, and I'm not sure what pair to get. Thank you, though! :)

Probably not. The only two headphones I've used that benefitted from this EQ setting were the PX-200ii and the Beyerdynamic DT1350, both of which have a large emphasis around 400-500 hz. EQ can be very tricky, and often creates worse problems than it's supposed to fix. The general rule is to try the different settings, but if none of them work really well, either don't use them or use a different headphone.

Would the eq have the same effect with the hd 218s for apple?

The Beyer DTX501p has a wide-band high fidelity response with the only limitation a soft treble, but the sound is clear and clean enough that some treble increase can be made with no negative effects. The PX-200-II is very mid-centric, and sounds much better with EQ that suppresses the mids around 450 hz, but even then the quality of sound is not as good as the DTX501p. The DTX501p fits better, is more comfortable, and I think much more durable. The PX-200-II is an old design.

Would you recommend the Senn px 200-ll or the beyerdynamic dtx 501 p?
