  • How this didn't win or at least come second is beyond me. An absolutely breathtaking melody, full of magic. The bridges give me goosebumps, and Vicky shows what a professional she is at such a young age (though she'd got even better in 1972 when she'd get what she deserved). Fabulous.

  • Its Pretty Obvious That If The Writer Of Puppet On A String Said That L'amour est bleu was a better song than UK entry, Luxembourg should have won, its just a song with more sense and rhythm!!!!

  • Fine

  • The word 'mellifluous' means 'flows like honey' and derives from the French 'mel' and the Latin 'fluo'. French is the most sensual language there is and practically sings itself. If the language was the stumbling block, then how did Vicky win with Apres Toi?

Personally, I'm with the 'we wuz robbed' school. Puppet was catchy but L'Amour est Bleu itself is a very fine song. I'm not sure, but isn't it the only French song to make number one in the US charts (with Paul Mauriat's version)?

  • is that Vicky Leandros??

  • @Bilfo you are a dickhead

  • The song is beautiful but not her voice. She improved by 1972

  • she was not singing with much feeling for the song, compare her performance to Ann Marie David in '73 with Wonderful Dream and you'll see why Vicky did not win in '67, Love Is Blue should sound a bit more melancholy, great melody though and she got there in the end in '72 - used to love the Eurovision Song Contest

  • @setheurovision94 The fact it didn't win proves the dice were loaded.

  • @setheurovision94 Probably because she sang it in French, and we all know that French is the most irritating dead language that there is.

  • She didn't win this time because her reincarnation was incomplete. She was a tortoise in her previous life, and it shows on this video. In 1972 she had reached a point where she was 98% human and there was no problem for her to win. It is rare for reincarnation to be 100% right from childhood.
