Up for sale is my 100% numbers matching 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. The car has been personally inspected by Galen Govier and comes with his full report. Has the original 440 magnum , 727 auto trans, 3.23 rear end. The car is in the original color of R4 red and was repainted about 20 years ago. The body is very straight and the paint still shows very well but I would call it a 10 footer. The original vinyl top is in very nice condition. The car retains most of the original interior with the exception of the passenger side door panel. The interior is very nice. Glass and trim are very nice. Engine bay paint is original. Undercarriage is untouched original.
The car looks/runs great! It has PS and power drums. Also has A/C but doesnt work. Everything is hooked up, I have never checked it out because I never really drive it. Comes with very nice original build sheet, fender tag and owners manual. I upgraded the heads to the edelbrock aluminum ones and also installed a new timing chain and a stock replacement camshaft. (original heads are included) Also has mopar performance electronic ignition. Recored 4 core radiator. New fan clutch. Factory HP manifolds and original H pipe. The car shows 63k miles with less than 3000 miles since 1990. Because of its age milage is exempt. I have owned the car since 2003. When Galen inspected the car he graded it a 2.6. I have only put a 1000 miles on it and have always kept it in my air conditioned garage and has not seen one drop of water. Here is what I know does'nt work: clock, guage light dimmer switch, original am radio, a/c. No trades. I will not release the car until my banker says all funds have cleared. Please have funds in place before bidding. I reserve the right to retract any suspicious bids. I have set a very reasonable reserve/buy it now price. When the reserve is met the buy it now will disappear. Feel free to inspect the car in person. Please call me with any questions 832-573-3750. Thanks!

  • @BraveSpartan71 You can purchase it at ebay right now for 35K. I couldn't take much less than that. It's numbers matching. Here is the link: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-Dodge-Charger-R-T-Numbers-Matching-/130480369394?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e613c6ef2

  • @superninja0714, It has to be a 69 Charger. not a 68.

  • I'm so getting one of these then restore it to look like the one in the dukes of hazard!!!!!

  • is it still for sale

  • @ozzyrocksforever The "slap stick" auto shifter did not come out until 1970........This car is worth at least mid 20's or better.

  • @ozzyrocksforever personally i think 35k is a great price.

  • 35K and it doesn't even have the slapstick automatic? I think not. It is probably worth 15-20 K from what I can tell.

  • where did you find your build sheet? I couldn't find mine anywhere, even previous owners back to 1970 said they never saw one.

  • This car had to be made a matter of minutes apart from mine. The difference in the VIN is 70 units. And if each car made that year, manufactured at multiple plants, used a unique number, it's possible it was right behind mine on the line. Very nice. Good luck
