People that argue from legal standpoints and not first principles are not interested in morality, ethics and virtue-- they're interested in how to be a better behaved slave. No thanks. It saves a lot of time and energy to cut to the moral chase. I don't need to know tax codes to know that stealing is wrong. A thicker law book hasn't done anything to solve problems.

I'm not talking about people working together in groups to accomplish GOOD. I'm talking about people working together in groups to use VIOLENCE against PEACEFUL PEOPLE, and PRETENDING that it's good. There's a BIG difference.

You keep on using the words "adult" and "child" to reference people who ACCEPT or COMMIT violence (adult) and people who are SUBJECTED to violence against their will and don't like it (child).

I'm sorry that you had that kind of childhood.

People working together, symbiotically, towards a common goal is a great force for good. I'm sure you will produce a 100 instances where the group has produce horrific atrocities but behind those 100 is a 1000000 instances producing positive results. If you're looking for perfection, you should look elsewhere besides the human race. An adult understands this.

There is no such thing as "collective will". Some individuals SHARE desires and AGREE to work together, but there is no "collective will".

You, and people who share your desires IMPOSE your will onto others AGAINST THEIR WILL, and you call this "collective will"? And you call THEM a child if they speak up against your violence?

To me, violence and ignorance are childish, and trying to correct the errors of violent people is the only grown-up thing to do.

@somecomputergeek YOU are not the collective will of the people. YOU alone cannot decide for everyone. This seems obvious but I guess this concept is not very obvious to everyone. YOU cannot raise an army and go to war. YOU cannot force people to pay taxes. I guess its just the egocentric attitude of the anarchist that provides the impetus for this anlaogy. I...ME...I...ME....I...ME...ju­st like a child trapped in an adult body. Grow up, get a job and pay your taxes.

Anyway, at the core of the arguement you are always free to convince others your view is valid or you can leave the safety of the group and find another group. However, you just want the entire group to think and believe yours is the only moral viewpoint. Seems pretty draconian for one you values freedom so much

No one agreed to be forced to us government services and then be billed for them. We are all under threat of violence if we do not give over half our hard earned money. That is theft. It is aggression against peaceful people. It is wrong at the least and evil at best. Break your mental chains and see the truth!
