  • I really appreciate the uploader for the beginning part because about every 2 hours there was another wildfire while i was on a ranch i was moved to another one because the land and cattle were being burned it was a brutal and so was 2011 but 2012 is another year we will se what happens this year

  • Don Edwards is absolutely incredible! The ONLY way to truly appreciate him is in person!

  • I always react to this classic. As I near the end of this life I cling to this song. It brings to mind the old west and the hardy men who will never be duplicated. A very nice version, simply done as it should be.

  • Well, thanks for the song boys.

  • From an old cowboy: My dad taught me this song when I was a boy. We used to sing it at the campfires and the brandings. Over the years I have heard many versions sung by many singers. These fellows definitely do justice to this poignant song. And I must add that Johnny Cash does this one as only he can. Funnily enough, I was just playing the melody on my guitar when I thought about googling it. Glad I did.

  • This is one of the most beautiful covers of this great great cowboy song. First time hearing these men sing, you've sold me on them. Hope you don't mind me sharing my humble cover of this great song. Mark

  • my brother died...and this song so sung so beautiful reminds of him.

  • Ya same here but i can never find very many of his songs on here

  • I think the other guy is Michael Martin Murphey. He has gone from rocker to cowboy... a change for the better. He is in the western music hall of fame.
