My 1 week old TV started turning off on its own. Sometimes it runs for an hour before it turns off, sometimes it runs for only a few minutes before it shuts off.

This is proof for the technician that my TV needs to be replaced

I'm not using the remote control to power off. Note that whenever a remote control signal is received, the red light at the bottom flashes. The TV first powers off, then then the light goes into steady red state, indicating standby mode.

  • @cowgirls86 YOU ARE A DUMB ASS !

If you put all the complaints for all the different brand tvs together on the consumer affairs site samsung would still have more complaints.

If you cut samsungs 10,000 complaints on the consumer affairs site in half samsung would still have over 4,000 complaints.

Your just a thick SHAMSUNG SUCKER !

  • 10,000 Complaints about samsung's JUNK tv's on the CONSUMER AFFAIRS SITE. There are less than 1,000 complaints for any other brand tv.

    Do the math and -

    DON'T LET SHAMSUNG SHAMYOU !!

  • My sony tv does that when I'm playing the game then ite turns back on and my system restarts

  • that's what happens to me when I'm playing MW3 it really pisses me off >:(

  • don't buy any samsung tv at the fle market, lol

  • always samsung...

  • @likeaboss97

I dont know why that would be but it does have a ambient light sensor that increase/decrease brightness which you can turn off from the menu.

  • @miagi84 is their a reason why mine only does this when natural light from my window shines on it

  • This is just indication that their was a surge of power due to component failure (probably power supply)and to prevent further damage it shuts off also why the red light appears. I had a Polaroid that did this. I replaced a few capacitors on power supply and was working again.

  • @tinyproblem I called Samsung and they sent out a technician who changed the entire board. Still did it. They then replaced it with the 8000 model. Haven't had a problem since. Great customer service there.

  • @thesupa209 I hope you're talking true, I just bought myself a 32" LED Samsung.
