This is a video of my new toy the rc sky parachute. It is a replica of the well known paraglider and it is fun to fly.

Thanks for watching.

  • Hi there,

I have one of these in standard (stock) specification and it absolutely will not fly (I've been in aeromodelling since 1995, so I know what I'm doing!). I just wanted to ask if yours is standard/stock or modified in any way?

Many thanks, hope to hear from you.

    Jason.

  • @jasona9393 I flew mine stock in this video. You have to use the throttle for elevator control. If there is any wind you are out of luck for flying because of the characteristics of the model itself. It works best in little or no wind.

  • Lol "I have no control". Was it hard to learn how to fly it?

  • @J1I9M7M4Y Not really, just a little slow on the controls.

  • superbe, je possède deux paraglider le top a piloter

  • Brushless Lipo must be the way to get the power/weight ratio sorted for better performance!

  • Anyone upgraded one of these to brushless ?

Just ordered one as a Sunday morning hangover flyer until i can function enough to fly my hz champ or sky surfer.

  • @jasona9393 dude since 95 ? you know what your doing , BUT you dont know how it flys . good money spent on your EDU. huh

  • I fly real paragliders free-flight and powered. My skysurfer acts just like my real one. I have flown the s/surfer in up to 15 km/h winds safely. Not about lift, it's about the maximum airspeed of the model's wing. But zero wind also works fine. Are you handlaunching or trying to take off from the ground? Ground takeoffs are very difficult, need absolutely smooth concrete/golf green etc due to the small diameter of the wheels - tiniest bump and they go off course, not into wind means no takeoff

  • Hmmm. Armchair pilots...

    ...why not fly for real?

  • i have 1 of these and i have a 16g servo for the parchute and a 15a esc with a 60 watt moter on a 2s with a 10x4 prop and it flys like a dream

  • Hey,

I got one of these but am having trouble,

it just keeps on flying into the ground as if it doesnt have enough power,

do you need to fly it in absolutely NO wind or does it need a tiny amount for lift?

    thanks

    nice vid

  • Ive wanted to do exactly this. xDDD nice
