I built this to carry small tools or stuff I buy at the store to protect the items from the rain.
It is small but I wanted to be able to take it out of the truck in case I needed to carry large items.
I did not want a hinged cover because on a nice sunny day I could carry taller items such as groceries, etc.
Also if I have a small job to do for someone I can throw the tools in this box rather than letting them slide all over the truck bed loose.

  • spending 5 minutes putting a hinge on wouldn't be better then taking 4 wing nuts off and lifting a lid completely off every time?

  • @mxrace709 Correct!, Hee Hee since this video was made I removed the 4 bolts and wing nuts and put 2 hasps on it, one at each end, where the pad lock would go I put a bungee cord to keep the whole from sliding around in the truch bed.

I don't worry about locking it because I don't keep stuff in it over night.

BTW, I took it out for the winter, the bed is loaded with snow right now.

  • g0d ideas man !

    thanks 4 all !

  • @TheSharky666 Thank You, for the winter I took out the box.

  • The handles will make it easier for a thief to carry away.

  • @FreeTalkLive, Well good luck to them it weighs 50 pounds and is empty.

I only use it to put small tools in when it is raining, i never leave the tools in it.

Like when I have to do a small job for someone, etc.

  • u know i like oldfarts like u lol keppin O.G. makeing your own stuff n stead of buying cheap ass chink made bullshit. good job man keep it G

  • @RAYGproductions Thanks Ray.

  • @JeffN727 The extended cab may be fine, but who wants to get the cab all messed up with tools?

When I had my car the back seat was a mess hauling wood, tools, etc. in it.

  • The box should work out good for you Bill. That's the problem with pickup trucks. Even though there is lots of space for hauling, there's not a lot of space to store stuff. If I was going to get a pickup, it would have to have an extended cab.
