A board of administrators at the U. of Arkansas equalized campus marijuana and alcohol penalties after students voted in support of a SAFER referendum. But just after the new guidelines were released, the University quickly repealed them after the story was reported in the news.

  • Marijuana shouldn't have the same penalties as alcohol.... Marijuana should have NO penalties at all!!

Alcohol causes FAR more destruction to society than Marijuana ever could.

  • Why would we want to teach the TRUTH at school? I don't think our young people should learn about all the ways that cannabis can help our ailing planet. Do You? Maybe we should keep up with all the lies.

Our students may have something to say about that...

    "Yes We Cannabis!!"

Please vote YES on prop19. Help end the madness.

  • @SerialKiff3r hahahaha

  • @peterpotpie hell yeah make sure all you californians register to vote so you can CHANGE HISTORY!!!

  • 2b or not 2b... That is the question... lol...

  • Basically, Dr Pugh is spineless and doesn't dare go against the norm. Despite the students wanting it (democracy, anyone?) No change there then.

  • No surprise here. Colleges and highschools have never been on the cutting edge of civil rights. (Not the administrations, that is.) They're actually notorious for violating civil rights.

They always say that "it sends the wrong message", but never explain exactly what that means. I think it means that they don't want you to believe that you can effect social policy or law in any way. They don't want to encourage that "message". Well I think they need the message of our middle fingers.

  • The students at that school are bunch of sheep.

  • This is sad... I was all impressed when I found out about the equalization... Yay uneducated people who think they are educated making rules. :-S

  • @geezgsr equal was at least a step in the right direction. You gotta work it in slowly but the veto is on this is straight bullshit
