Apparently we spend something like $2 billion a year on sickness and unemployment benefits. It's bloody crazy.

These buggers used to fly over our house all the time...low....on purpose...cuz we called the base and asked them to continue. The base commander was expecting another angry call complaining about the noise etc....he was so shocked and grateful that we actually appreciated it, word went out to all the aircrews....any plane going over us, would do so nice and low and they'd 'wing wave' to us, they knew exactly which house was ours...we had a Canadian flag on a pole....the good ole days

HAWK`s!! son muy buenos pilotos !! muy buenos los skyhawks! mi pais, Argentina, los uso contra ENGLAND y demostro ser un avion muy confiable, les tocamos la mayoria de sus buques, hundimos 6, solo con bombas para ataque a tierra, igual a las de este video. nuestros pilotos fueron excelentes, asi mismo, como lo demostraron ser los de Nueva zelandia. un abrazo desde Argentina

@00Donkey00 i say we halve that budget by only giving it to people who actually need it rather than to the lazy assed people in NZ who cant be bothered getting off their asses and working. Then the rest can go into our defense force.

@hdmccart Well,the Argentinians used them to great effect in the Falklands against well equipped modern warships,and naval warfare and anti air weapons really havent changed much since then.And speaking from experience,the pilots used to push those " Scooters" to the max.And RNZAF pilots are some of the best in the world.It wasnt uncommon to be in the boonies,hear a Skyhawk,and they would be flying at lamp post height up the valleys.Just watch the 757 vid..they fly that like a fighter jet

@00Donkey00 The stupid part of it all (Thanks to Helen) The training for the crews and the cost,is actually higher now that they are in storage,The Skyhawks will never fly again as they have degraded due to moisture.Latex wrapping works wonders,if they are stored in a desert,not fking rain soaked NZ.
