I never suggested that it wasn't. In fact, it's my opinion that anecdotal evidence, at least in regards to UFOs, is about the best evidence there is nowadays. It's becoming just too easy to create fake video evidence. I've had two very close up sightings of UFOs but no videos of them. All I have is my word.
As for courtroom procedure: I highly question the use of 'circumstantial'/anecdotal evidence when the possible outcome might be to deprive someone of their life or liberty.
