In just one year, the Menominee Indian School District reduced the proportion of students dropping out from seven percent to one percent and slashed discipline referrals by 75 percent.

How did they do it? In this interview, Leslie Shawanokasic, principal of Menominee Indian High School, talks about the district's efforts. The interview was taped during the Wisconsin Graduation Summit, March 2, 2010, where representatives of the district gave a sectional presentation.
