The JOOS Orange is super durable and waterproof, it reliably delivers power where and when you need it. They say it works in real-world light conditions (low light, in the shade and even light rain). Living in Iowa, I'd like to test that out, as we get weeks of very low light. But note, you can plug it in to charge it up. They say it charges at least 3.5x faster than any other portable solar charger at the same price.

And currently it's the ONLY solar charger for an iPad!

This will recharge smart and regular phones, an iPad, MP3 players, cameras, game devices, and more. Includes charging cables and adapters.

On their website today ( Feb. 5, 2011) "Sorry, the JOOS Orange is temporarily out of stock. The price of the JOOS Orange is $139.95. Please enter your email to receive notification of JOOS Orange availability." I put my name in. I'm hoping I never have to use it, as I am buying it for Hurricane (FL) and Ice Storm (Iowa) preparedness!

I got to say the price point is more than a bit high.

Great product and that's exactly what I wanted it for, light outages.

While I am very interested in this product, I think the $140 price point is a bit high, especially in this economy.
