Even though he's been farming for years, Harry Eisses can't help but be amazed
each day by the chickens that produce the eggs on his farm in Innisfil, Ontario.
"I guess the thing that really amazes me is how a chicken can produce what it
does -- make that egg, put that shell around it," says Harry.
Harry's son in law, Jeff, says egg farming isn't just a business; it's a way of life.
He and his family work and live on the farm, which is an integral part of the
Innisfil community. As far as Jeff is concerned, nothing beats the feeling of being
in the country, working with his family, tending to the animals, and selling the
eggs they produce to the people in their community.
"Meeting people and seeing that you make them happy, there's nothing more
accomplishing than that, at the end of the day when you know you've made
someone happy," says Harry.
