  • Thank you so much for your videos. They are so informative and I LOVE your watering containers (I have three of them now!)

Quick question for you.... I notice you have green onions spinach and carrots in one container. How do you know how many you can plant in one container before they get too crowded?

  • If you look at the back of the packet that the seeds come in it gives a suggested and final planting space. I just plant them according to the packet and thin them as suggested. Carrots and onions dont take up much space so I plant them in among the spinach. ~Jeri

  • You have my favorite balcony garden videos. I just started my first this year! I have "borrowed" your container idea which is great since I go away for 2-3 days at a time and hopefully my plants will stay watered. I noticed you said you had just moved to the area...you don't happen to be a Newfie do you? -I noticed the slight accent-

  • I am Canadian but I am from the west coast. I am from Vancouver Isand in BC. ~Jeri

  • Great job. I hope my carrots turn out as nice as yours. This year i'm growing Nutri-Red, which are blood red carrots loaded with nutrients. Nice spinach too.

  • Wow that was pretty great for a balcony!

  • Excellent garden. I;ve learned a lot from your videos - thank you.

My only concern is the material that the containers are made of. Many plastics leach plasticizers into water and then the plants leach it up. My suggestion is to use HDPE containers (preferably food grade) if you can find them as they are a pretty darn stable thermoplastic.

    Thanks again - excellent!

  • I have to make your self-waterers. Very ingenious.

  • Whatever you're doing...you're doing right! Everything looks wonderful! I tried container gardening last year and nothing looked as good as yours do in this vid. I'll have to sub and check out your other videos to see how you did this! :)

  • Nothing smells as good as a freshly dug carrot. When I pick mine, I always smell them and smile lile a fool. lol Your spinach is about the healthiest I have seen. Very nice.

I love your ingenious self-watering balcony garden idea!
