@undeadpresident because he is a big fan of Star Trek and requested the writers give him a part to play. However because hes not a member of America's Screen Actors Guild, there were legal issues to be dealt with if he had any actual lines. So a non-speaking cameo is the they could do to accommodate the then Prince's request. He's actually building a huge Star Trek themed park out here in Jordon. Should be finished in 2014, can't wait!!
