@jvcforce Ah ok cool, I guess its easier to make mad off pitch stuff on the ES and leave another synth to do pitched stuff then :) Thanks for your quick answer.

@Elektriber lol because vinyl has a dirty sound?

Can you program your own recorded drums sounds into the ES-1 and make a beat? Like if I record the sounds from my drumkit as a wav file, can I import them into the ES-1 and make beats that way? I really just want to assign my own recorded drum sounds to pads or banks ie sequence my own drum sounds.

really tight old skool beats

This is great! If you ever want to sell or trade your ES1 let me know.Very cool!

@jvcforce Thanks. Some of the sample patterns give you the idea you can play melodies, but no indication of how little control you actually have. I'll either ditch the ES1 or get an EA1 for playing melodies. =)
Nice beats you got on here fro the ES1. Can I ask a question? I jsut got one of these real cheap and was wondering how you program basslines and synth lines without using the "Pitch" wheel? Is there an easy way of programming a bassline chromatically?

@aikighost Sorry, it is not very easy, as far as I know. I'll have to use pitch speed knob. The pitch parameter can be entered manually though (read "Editing motion sequence data" on the manual.)
On Electribe EX, a sample can be assigned chromatically on the pads.
