Second that. I have a GP100 .357mag. That was a .38special round being fired. I'm 100% positive. The recoil may have "looked" more because he one-handed the grip. A .357mag has way more bark also.

44 ruger redhawk is excelent at 100 yds. If you can hit a pie plate at 100 yds ur good.

i hear a lot about the .44 super redhawk as i have been researching that gun. With the Gp100, what can i expect from a 50 yard shot? (accuracy, and stopping power) And can this gun be scoped? thanks if you can help!

There´s nothing wrong with the stopping power...if you ask me.
They are pretty accrate... haven´t really shot it at very far distances but it should work fine at 50 yards.
Iknow people here in sweden that use the ruger gp 100 at magnumcomps where the distance is over 200 yards...
GP 100 can not be scoped out of the box.
Can´t say anything about the super redhawk since i´ve hever fired one.

That round going off in that GP100 has got to be a .38 round. I have the same gun, same barrel length, also stainless. Had it 18 years no. That's not a .357 round going off in that gun, it's a .38 I'd be my life.

so you´ve had a .357 since you were 19... is that legal in america...?

Depends on the state. Its not legal in California, Missouri, and a few other states (Massachusetts, I can't think of them all). Chances are he's using a higher pressure load than what you were using, or the sound in the video is bad. It doesn't sound like a .357 to me either, but the recoil looks like a .357. I believe you.

i´ve tried i few other .357 ammo brands and the one with the most recoil was a brand called Hirtsberger or Hirtsenberger... they stopped making them now...
