In the commentary they mentioned a scene at the end of Journey's End that didn't make it into the episode. I thought it would be good, so I made it here. The music is a bit wrong at times, but the quality for once is good!

And...Yes, the Tardis does make donna bop her head. Music of The Spheres and all that...

  • My poor doctor :***( *tries to hug the doctor through computer screen* David tennant is the best ever

  • @MervueMeringue Yeah

  • @MervueMeringue To be honest.... No Matt is not. He is trying to be as good as Tennant but DT was the Doctor for 4 years and he brought the show back to the big time. That's why DT is seen as a better Doctor. Besides scenes like this are way better than some of Matt's. I'm not putting Matt down he is a good actor but DT is better in my opinion

  • @mherbison531 Well... I respect your opinion, but I'm going to criticise it anyway! It was technically Christopher Eccleston who brought the show back properly, though I guess DT did add to that. And it's unfair to compare the time they've been the Doctor for, considering Matt may have several years ahead of him! And I think that Matt can pull of scenes like this to (albeit this happens more rarely, but I think this is in the writing), such as the scene at the end of The Doctor's Wife.

  • @mherbison531 DT did not bring the show back Eccelson did and Smith is not trying to be DT he is trying to be his own doctor and greatly succeeding in it. Matt's scenes are also beyond amazing. I guess some people are just too close minded to move on.

  • @DeltaBravo1216 Yeah, me too, only I watched it on Netflix...

  • Can someone help me find my heart? It seems to have broken and went around on the floor.

  • @MervueMeringue MATT SMITH IS NOT BETTER. THE WRITING IS NOT BETTER. SUB PAR IS WHAT YOU MEANT.

  • @mherbison531 No, he's not better. He's different. Each regeneration of the Doctor has a different persona, and if you can't figure that out, you're in the wrong fandom. I adore DT. Don't get me wrong. I love every single one of his episodes. But I also love every single one of Matt's. He is amazing. Take some time and really *watch* him and learn to appreciate him for who he is.

  • What do you mean cut? I saw this when this episode premiered on the BBC.

  • Comment I) Wilf is quite possibly my favorite companion.

Comment II) Oh. My. God. This. Music.

  • @mherbison531 I agree with you, Tennants Dr as well as Eccelstons hinted at how old he was and how lonely he now is, and thats what made the character better. Matts Doc could be just as great but the new writers haven't included this factor in his characterisation which makes it...sadly, shitter.

  • This scene was included in the version of the show I saw. I think it was cut for time for commercial broadcasts.

  • has anyone notice that whenever the 10th doctor takes of his suit jacket he is wearing the brown suit and blue shirt and brown tie combo

plus he always looks so skinny with a jacket on
