Fresh Meat at FACTORY FRESH

James Kalm returns to MoJo (East Williamsburg/Bushwick) to introduce viewers to the district's newest arts venue, Factory Fresh. "Fresh Meat" is a group show of works by gallery artists with a diverse selection of media and intentions that nonetheless displays shared sensibilities from within the community's youngest practitioners. Featuring a complete performance by E. Greem, and brief glances at works by Dresden Pawlick, Nora Lee, Autumn Marie, Jena Kane Lindsey Elsaesser and others.

I was only able to see that Greem's images were figurative, did the content of the works have anything to do with the box-within-a-box performance?

Ron,

I couldn't really make out the images that well myself, but it seemed like the first one was an allusion to Michelangelo's Adam from the Sintine Chapel, the second was Adam and Eve, third was three figures and so on. The hung works were a mixed bag.

Me, I liked the green top and the accessorizing green can complete with look of violation. Rossini hurt. Nora Lee's work is beautifully distinctive. Factory Fresh needs a mute button. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
