You may find it hard to believe that there can ever be a quiet matatu tout... But we found one... However, Bernard Kiogothe is deaf and while it has spared him the loud noises associated with his chosen trade, it also sets him apart as a role model for his peers... Here is Tom Mboya with Bernards story.

This is a good story highlighting the aspects of life that are rarely brought up. I am proud of him as cousin for his good work.

Impressing Bernard! Being deaf , mute and a matatu tout can be tough, but for Bernard, disability is not inability. I am his proud aunt and I thank God for the modern ways of broadcasting. Thanks to the Kenya CitizenTV for exposing Bernard's story to the rest of the world!

having a disability makes life tougher, but in no way is it an inability. I respect everyone with a disability, I know the difficulty encountered to accomplish tasks that many take for granted!!
