I have a brand-new guitar. For some reason, 9/11 has been on my mind a lot for the past week. So, I decided to record this cover of a Tom Paxton song, The Bravest.

Rachelbrune, I love your version of that song. It's one of my favorites too ... I like the fact it doesn't bash Arabs, Muslims, etc. but simply speaks to the fact that people died should be remembered. God bless you for doing that. I have the song on here too but plan to upload a better recording of it soon. I got a better video recorder now.

I did. Like I said, one of my favorites. I play the song too. I just uploaded an original onto my YouTube page. Played it at a songwriter festival last week. That was fun ... Lynn

Yozzer56, try changing the song to a lower key. Most musicians find they have to do this at times and it does NOT ruin the song at all. Just everyone's voice is different. If you can't reach the high notes, you're playing it in too high a key. Try a step or two lower and see what happens. I'll look forward to hearing the results!

you have such a sweet voice. a great cover of what has become a paxton favourite of mine. i sing this song too but i find it difficult to reach the high notes in the middle of the verses which i think paxton does to, but you get them perfect. keep it up :)
