@scott93257 - I wouldn't buy an American car after all the bullshit the American manufacturers have been pulling while colluding with the U.S. government. Perhaps when the unhealthy relationship between the U.S. government, the American car manufacturers, and the auto unions end and we have a real privately owned American car manufacturer in this nation again, I will change my tune.

This was much worse than the dairy producers who were wasting milk by dumping it in ditches during the Great Depression because of over-production and a bottoming out of price. This was waste for the sake of increasing the number of cars with Event Data Recorders and Lo-Jack transmitters in order to maximize the number of cars that will show up on the NSA grid. This was yet another move to entrench the electronic police state and mass surveillance society in which we are living. Disgusting!

I am a Ford guy, but I highly praise you for being honest about the stupidity of the program. Most dealers were just happy to sell their cars and didn't care if they were destroying good cars or not.

I have a 95 F150 Ext. Cab 4x4 with 139,xxx miles on it and it runs 10x better than that 99-04 S10.
And I don't give a shit if i get 11 City and 16 Highway. I like my ol reliable truck that I know if someone hits me or I hit something I'm safe behind Steel rather than todays cars that are made out of plastic or fiberglass!

Not any of these cars is clunker..... In Serbia we (nearly) all drive clunkers and they are 10 times worse than the grey pick up....
