@ronaldgrider that was my fist thought. they can simply use concave mirror it would be similar tot he satellite dish and it will concentrate energy in one spot

@kellyboy5 I did think about that! But after reflection, a lens wouldn't work since the reflected rays come from different angles. A lens would be effective only if the rays go straight into it in the middle.

@Marin6991 this wouldn't help. 1000 lines of mirror covering a surface of 6ft by 6ft wouldn't harvest more energy than 100 lines of mirrors covering the same surface (if they are aimed/angled properly).

Parabolic mirror,but flat mirror falls off the shelf for next to nothing. This is effectively a p.m., without the expense of having to shape it.Shaping comes from the control system, and although pricey to develop, engineers scratching their heads is expensive, the servos to drive these could come out of the RC market, like the flat mirror cheap, There are some self cleaning glass out there. Big up these guys & their lap tops....there on the right track...on the sunny side of the street !
