  • @brb21592 Is it my imagination, or does it ALWAYS sound out of tune? I have 4 or 5 CDs of this organ and the organ sounds out of tune almst all the time. Especially the reeds.

  • @brb21592 Recently??

  • the organ has suffered yet more damage a flood rendered the whole east side main gallery of the organ unplayable and another lightning strike has further damaged the instrument...so now its about 60 % playable...if that

  • @bombarde1701 YES!

  • @willowthebored Ranks...I'm not positive! About, 285 ranks! But, there are 23, 511 pipes!

  • I heard the area above the organ chambers was struck by lighting a while back and the relays were fried...are all divisions playing again?

  • it initially had that many pipes now it has 23500 cant wait to start school there next year

  • Very nice as always. Dr. Wiliams is always worth hearing.

Incidentally, does anybody know the exact number of ranks and pipes on this thing? I know the rankage is somewhere in the neighborhood of 240, but I can't find numbers for actual pipes for the life of me, and Wikipedia's estimate '2,406' seems very, very unlikely.
