It's true. Ryu in third strike does move slower than Ken. Look at how slow his sweep is to Ken's. I still use him over Ken because of the Denjin Hadoken being unblockable and I found out the way to speed up the charge by spinning the move stick. Guess you have to use every move Ryu has to keep them guessing because of how SLOW he is!

Ken is better than Ryu in 3rd strike, as he hits less but far faster, and has an incredibly good super. The problem with Ryu is that he takes the "hits less, hits stronger" approach. This would be fine except that parry makes this approach much harder overall. Ryu in many other games he's in relies on fireball traps and zoning to control the flow of combat. In this game, fireball traps are impossible. Zoning is done more so with pokes, and rushing multi-hit specials.
