The Committee reviews questions regarding the embassy compound construction as well as allegations of labor abuse through improper contracting practices. Chairman Henry Waxman questions witnesses from the State Department.
Check this guy's bank book. This contractor (First Kuwaiti/First Iraqi) has been know to attempt to give Baksheesh (payoff) so they can get the job. They typically underbid and then don't complete the job appropriately. Shoddy construction, bad/failing equipment plague all their projects. They also need to be looked at for their labor practices. Their workers are treated poorly and in some cases become indentured servants.
