Every year people are injured and killed in incidents involving forklifts. Forklift stability is a major factor in many accidents. Collisions, rollovers and damaged goods are just some of the results of forklift operators not understanding forklift stability.
Saw a guy do the same with a pallet of thin plywood. In his case, the load dropped and he went bouncing back and forth in the cab. The EMS guys got a bit of a chuckle when we described it, but the Coroner wasn't so jolly.

You mean I _can't_ drift a forklift around a corner with the forks all the way extended up in the air? Well, shoot... Common sense would put that one right out.
Fork lifts can in fact be drifted around corners, though. Hehe. Electric ones are best.
