Clark & Wacker Chicago (former Waterview Tower Site) - Construction Update 5 6/02 2008

Here i present you the 5th Update since 4/12 2008 of the construction of the Waterview Tower till 6/02 2008. There were some financial problems with this one so work is paused till the money loan deal is completed. Work should resume soon if all works out fine.

Tear it down???? The Chicago spire is probably not going to be finished because all the workers got done was a giant hole in the ground, but that building actually had progress. But somehow the new owner wants to tear it down!

@PrankcallsUS I read that they wanna build somemore floors above the already existing structure, but if they want to tear it down its gonna get complicated on that narrow lot.

@donzaliko sadly this towers construction stopped cause of the financial situation. It changed owners and its not clear yet if it will be converted into something different or maybe even torn down.

yes those are the only 2 under construction but the Waldorf Astoria (sp?) has been announced and should start mid 2010. the astoria will be built next to the spire and will accent it

is the Waterview Tower and the Spire are those the only buildings that tthey are building for now

i live in chicago like you i see and i was just in millenium park there were so many construction sight im so excited about the spire its going to be awsome my personal fave skyscraper is the chase building cause if you look straight up it looks like its falling on you
