  • hey jim, i gotta first say thank you so much. I've learned so much info about this wonderful hobby watchin your vids and i do appreciate them. I just had a quick question but wont be my last about your recommendation on the salinity of the salt water for a coral reef system.....right now i have a 55g display tank with a 25g sump. i keep the salinity around 32 or just under 1.024. i have a few polyps, frags, and some lps corals....am i on the right track jim? I appreciate ur time jim

  • hey M, if everyone is happy then its fine. i always lean towards "if its not broken then dont fix it".

  • What type of pump are you using? GPH?

  • hey B, if you are refering to the submersible water pump used inside the big container to help mix the SW, its a Rio 2100.

  • HOW CAN I KEEP ALL MY LPS ALIVE (HARD CORAL)? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO. HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THIS. THANKS A LOT JIM.

  • hey E, i dont know, too wide spectrum a question. consider your local tropical fish shop, local aquarium society, or local aquarium maintenance company, or maybe a good book?

  • Very very instructional!

    Cheers

  • Well I know this is an old one, but I have to add that I neve once found a difference in algae growth between real salt water in the "cake mix". I do find it easier for Me to "bake a cake" in the garage with a slow RO filter then to order sea water though...
