MATERIALS LIST
1) Unsized or raw Xuan paper (single Xuan)

Only this kind of paper leave watermarks between strokes. For best result use Red Star Xuan.

2) Alum powder for Chinese brush painting - used as water/ink resist

3) Sable Brush - wich does not holds moisture as other kind of hairs so it is easier to create the dripping water/ink effects

4) Easel or magnetic whiteboard to paint virtically.

  • @TheBuddhaLight Thanks! I did not know Master Yu but I have read his books and watched him painting online. Yes, you can see a landscape painting of the frozen Niagara FallsI did last year on Youtube, which this is responding to. Thanks!

  • @blueheronarts I understand. Master Yu seems to have a lot of talent, it is very nice for you to have someone who can share their experience on Chinese painting with you. I wil check out some of his other videos! I remember the frozen Niagara falls painting, a very nice demonstratin done there. I loved it! Yet, I am curious, are we awaiting a Yule special from you?
