  • How did you overclocked the cpu in the bios to get it to run at 4.0 because i have the same settings but different ram Ocz platinum 4GB 1600mhz and my cpu is running at 3.8 but if i go over that the computer always crash

  • it depends on ur cpu stepping and motherboard , most of the 955s are stable up to 3.8 ghz ,but mine is C3 stepping which i think is the best for overclockin.

    (multiplier = 19, Voltage = 1.55)

my ram also is set at 1.95 volts @ 1800 mhz (8-8-8-24)

  • @latticelinux A high air pressure is what you need rather than cfm in your case, You need the fan to be able to push the air through the radiator rather then just throw a lot of it at it and only have some go through it. I ditched my H50 for a Zalman cooler. The zalman works a bit better.

  • @XtremeGamer73 my 955 only goes to 3.7, i think its my shitty mobo tho.

  • I thousght of that too thats why i put my antec fan o blow air on both gpu fans, my gpus' temps are around 44 to 46 degrees idle at 30% of my fan speed but when play games it jumps 52 to 54. i always set the speed of the fan ( for my gpu's) to 60 % when im gaming, which is not ad att all for graphic cards .

  • Its interesting that all the fans intake works good ,i never thought of that i should try it ,

my cpu is running at the 4 Ghz 35 degrees idle which is not bad , but my gpu and specially my MB running very very cool even when when im gaming.

  • Yea high cfm fans are good but could hurt the air flow at times. I noticed with the corsair h50 that having two yateloons at 88cfm cools it better then two deltas at 130cfm. Not really sure why but it all comes down to experimenting. remember all your trying to do is move the heat off the rad and out of the case not shoot it to the moon lol.

  • Yea it may help or may not. The big thing with building rigs is seeing what works best for that system. I dont know what your gpu temps are like but i see you have your psu fan side up with the second gpu fan close over it. This might hurt the temps of the gpu. You might want to try and flip the PSU over so the GPU and the PSU are not fighting over air.

  • I forgot to say that my coolermaster fans ,one of them pull and the other one pushes the air out , is the fan is a monster , 90 CFM.

  • Hey gamer do you have that setup to pull air in or push air out? I have the same case and cooler and i have found that setting up the back fans as intakes and leaving the front as intakes as well give great performance. Since the 1200 has the big boy as the exhaust all the air in the case gets sucked out from that fan. I tried doing the back and front as exhaust and also tried them as norm setup and found that have all the fans intake cold air and the big boy push it out works best.
