Would you take back all the things you said
And the things wrapped inside your head
Would you show no remourse
And plot a course
To the land of the living dead
Would you settle down in another town
Where nobody knew your name
Or would you come around
With your head held down
Acting like you'll take the blame

All your tears spilled through the years
Come flooding in on me
And all I feel I can't conceal
It's there for all to see

Would you give me a sign before you get out of line
So I know what's in for me
Don't despair if I know what's there
It's not all that hard to see
I've taken apprehension as far as it's allowed to go
So if I turn from your direction
You can't say I didn't tell you so

All your tears spilled through the years
Come flooding in on me
And all I feel I can't conceal
It's there for all to see

FLOOD

On an ocean of grey
The ship sails away
To escape the deluge the world brought to be
Somebody send out a lifeline
Hands are grasping thin air
Somebody lift up all those adrift on
The Sea of Despair

On the horizon
Flood waters rise
The anchor was brought up again
Though there were tears in my eyes

The ship reached the shore
After a hundred days or more
To seek refuge from the unforgiving sea
Somebody send out a signal
An S.O.S. in the air
Somebody give home to those lost at sea
Somebody say that you care

On the horizon
Flood waters rise
The anchor was brought up again
Though there were tears in my eyes

The storm rages on
As we must carry on
The storm rages on
But we must hold on

On the horizon
Flood waters rise
The anchor was brought up again
Though there were tears in my eyes
Off in the distance
I saw the light
Starless skies gave warning
But I sailed on through the night

A SHADOW OF A DOUBT
Words and Music © S.St.Thomas

Fell into the deepest water
Somewhere along the way forgot to swim
Fathoms down below
Everything moves slow
And the light takes its time
To finally grow dim

Maybe there was something else
I should've, could've done
Overboard and losing sight of the sun

There's no easy way that I can say it
When you're going through a shadow of a doubt
Maybe hope will find again the light of day

The light of day ...

Can you lend a helping hand
To a drowning stranger?
You know the one who forgot to swim
And in the given situation
You might do the same
With a little provocation
Where all the whirlpools begin

Maybe there was something else
I should've, could've done
Overboard and losing sight of the sun

There's no easy way that I can say it
When you're going through a shadow of a doubt
Maybe hope will find again the light of day

Maybe hope will
Find again the light
The light of day

There's no easy way that I can say it
When you're going through a shadow of a doubt
