The Abbotts on CNN

The day started like any other... until we got a call from CNN. The story of our interview, set to music. Our funniest video ever? That's subjective and not for me to say. But our most creatively-edited video with the best musical scoring so far? Definitely. :-)

Note: this video is not really about CNN's story, or the Henne/balloon boy story, or our Trading Spouses story. It's about humor.

CMT is about to re-air the TS episodes with the wonderfully talented Abbott family. I love the Abbotts, have been watching their vids for a few years now, and I don't like how this loving family was portrayed. I hope everyone sees what a hit job Trading Spouses did. So what if they are quirky and closely nit. Fox pushed its idea of normalcy through Vickie's intolerance and as a black man I'm annoyed her lack of flexibility (common in my community) was lauded as sage advice. Not cool at all.

@AAnneC I could tell that they were fabricating that whole "controlling Dad" thing. A family that is THAT laid back (to not even make their kids wear shoes, which I think is cool) isn't going to have some control freak jerk for a father/husband. One of my favorite families from Trading Spouses for sure, and a couple that I looked at and said "I wish they were my parents!" If only we were all so lucky.

Awesome!! Man I hated I missed your family on Trading Spouses. . . Gotta find out how to get my hands on it so my eyes can take a look. Not really for the trading of spouses but more so for the bluegrass that might be picked while on the show. :)

Your family is such a blessing!! My daughter and I have learned so much from your Family Tradition book (+mp3). This is one item that should not be banned, no matter what papa wants to ban!
