!!YOU GOT BUSTED!!Thats what happens when you ride out in the open.There are places to hide on a train.I'm a locomotive Engineer.I see people jumping trains all the time.If there not breaking anything or causing problems that would harm my train.I leave them alone.I've known some train hoppers for years.If I see them riding my train.I let them ride in one of the trailing units.That way they don't have to be in the cold.

@railwayking2001 Are alot of the engineers tolerant of trainhopping? I would like to try this, but wouldnt want to do it if it is frowned upon badly by the workers.

Im looking to hop for the first time in the next year or so. I am trying to collect as much information from rail heads at the yard, and on the internet to ensure that the trip is successful, and that i dont burn anything out for the real riders. If anyone can shoot me some advice, or links to articles it would be much appreciated.

---- also... does any one know about tracking box cars? thank you!
