SmartView Mirror II with Safe Box TM
Detect Cars In Your Danger Zone!
The SmartView Mirror will show you traffic that is typically in a vehicleʼs blind
spot. In order to do this, it is necessary to use curved glass. Curved glass will
make images appear smaller than normal. To prevent drivers from being fooled
by size, the SmartView Mirror is designed to use a Danger Zone and a Safe
Box, rather than size, to determine a safe or unsafe condition. It only take a
few minutes to learn how to see the Safe Box and the Danger Zone. The
Safe Box is the box that is etched on the mirror. All other areas of the
SmartView Mirror are the Danger Zone. If you see any vehicles in your Danger
Zone, it is not safe for you to make a lane change. When a car is in the Safe
Box, and stays in the box, it is safe for you to move in front of it.

Your main flat mirror is too high dude! You don't need to see birds, planes, tree tops and sky. Hello?! If nobody told you before, you are interested in OTHER cars, not your own and not sky. In other words, maximize your field of view and the need for extra mirrors will diminish.
