Wii: Blazing Angels Walkthrough Paris: La Liberation Ace Part 1 of 3
This is how I earned an Ace Rating, and a Distinguished Service Cross in Paris: La Liberation. In this mission you will have the choice between twenty-four (24) different planes; I recommend flying the FW 190A because it has excellent firepower, good agility and hit points. If you find the FW 190A too difficult to aim then I would recommend flying the Hurricane II because it has the best agility and excellent firepower. You must complete this mission in thirteen minutes (13:00) or less and you must shoot down a minimum of ten (10) enemy German fighter planes, two hundred (200) German tanks and three (3) German ships. If you are trying to earn an ace rating and a Distinguished Service Cross then you must destroy all of the planes, tanks and ships in this mission on your own; basically that means you must keep your wingmen in defense formation for the majority of the mission. However, if you are just trying to complete this mission alive, then by all means use your wingmen as much as possible. This mission can be a little confusing because there are so many different areas of activity and so many different targets, so to begin we must clarify the battlefield and explain / label the main battle zones. Basically there are five (5) distinct areas that need to be cleared of German infantry: 1) The easiest to recognize of all the landmarks is the Eiffel Tower; the tallest building in Paris, the Eiffel Tower sticks out of the landscape like a sore thumb, the structure looks like a very tall (A) shaped structure, on your radar the Eiffel Tower icon also looks like a pointy (A) shape. 2) The Arc de Triomphe is the next most recognizable landmark, it is a giant square stone structure that has an (n) shape, on the radar the Arc de Triomphe icon is also shaped like an (n). 3) Lastly, there are three (3) bridges that cross the river Seine River, these three (3) river crossings have an icon that looks like an (m) shape on your radar, the first (1) bridge area is near the Eiffel Tower on the north side and will be referred to as the north bridge area, the second (2) bridge area is just south of the Arc de Triomphe and will be referred to as the middle bridge area and the third (3) bridge area is far south of the Arc de Triomphe, it is located on a small strip of land between two (2) rivers and will be referred to as the south bridge area. The basic outline for completing this mission will be: Arc de Triomphe, north bridge area, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, middle bridge area, south bridge area, Eiffel Tower. You begin this mission flying over embattled Paris, fly straight ahead at maximum speed and you will be given the first (1) objective. OBJECTIVE: DESTROY THE DEFENDING GERMAN FORCES. A short video cut scene will play showing the Arc de Triomphe, after the video cut scene ends your plane will be repositioned and you will be given your first (1) checkpoint. It is important that you listen to the French Resistance fighters messages and that you act when they command action. Your first mission will be to destroy a convoy of tanks heading toward the Arc de Triomphe, begin by gaining some altitude and flying toward the convoy, it is easiest to destroy the convoy when you line up with the road that the tanks are on and approach the tanks from high and behind. Begin by destroy the lead tanks, then wait for a second and the remaining tanks will regroup making it easier for you to destroy them all, you should be able to destroy all the tanks in one (1) pass. After the convoy is destroyed head toward the Eiffel tower, try to destroy one (1) cluster of tanks and several individual tanks near the Eiffel Tower and move on to the north bridge area that is just passed the Eiffel Tower. The north bridge area will be made-up of two (2) clusters of tanks and about eight (8) tanks along the road making a (D) shape, destroy the two (2) clusters of tanks near the river first (1), then turn around (aerobatic: immelmann) and destroy the remaining tanks, you should be able to destroy all of the tanks in less than four (4) passes. After all of the tanks in the north bridge area are destroyed, next you should focus on destroying as many tanks near the Eiffel Tower as possible. Dont forget to destroy the tanks that are underneath the tower. While you are clearing the tanks near the Eiffel Tower you will hear the French Resistance fighter command you to protect the Arc de Triomphe, only after you hear the call for help should you move on from the Eiffel Tower to the next area. End of Part 1 of 3, view part 2 of 3 for further details. Good Luck

  • i past this mission without the ace title, and when i beat the game i still didn't get ace on this mission spitfire XI, fw 190d9, and even the me262, all utter failures(in trying to get ace title).

  • @huytiopful

Don't give up, just practice a little and have patience... you will ace it = )

  • I CAN NOT BEAT THIS.......what plaine do you suggjest

  • @littledutchboy1996

Yeah, in my opinion, this is the hardest mission of the game. I recommend flying the FW 190A, make sure you upgrade it in the standalone mode. Try not to use your wingmen, and fly like a maniac! I have written a VERY detailed walkthrough for Paris, just read through description section. Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions after you read the descriptions.

  • this level has gud graphics on wii not perfect but its ok luv it i wish the game was a bit longer tho too short

  • @BrickkyKid

  • @huytiopful me 262 is bad take the kikka its better

  • Trust me ive got the game and this level is f**king hard this guy must of trained for hours!

  • @huytiopful i hope this tip help everytime you see fighters(when u arent done with the ground troop) set pilots on fomation and kill the planes but dont do this if there are tanks closing in on the arc d'triomphe

  • I passed this mission on my first try, but after I completed the game, this is the only one I haven't gotten ace rating on. "another boring ground target destroyed!" ;P Hadn't tried the standalone mode at all though, didn't know one could upgrade the planes there. Will try that! :)

  • This mission is tuff to ACE. The best time I have done is btw 18 - 19 mins. I shoot down more than the require planes, and had come up just short of the number of required ground targets. I some times get the three boats but when you get the General before he reaches the rive, you do not get the opportunity to attack the boats. I have used just about every possible plane on this mission and still can not Ace it and get my medal.
