Super-true. It is unique in all of rock'n'roll, was featured in the movie about the late Steve Prefontaine. Along with "Suite Madam Blue" it is personal co-favorite of the decade and one of top 5 favorite OAT.

This song is put together so beautifully and compellingly, a real high point in rock music. The ensemble interaction is outstanding, creates such dynamic tension.

i saw him on Barnstorm tour in '74 in Roanoke, Va. and i concur. the weed and the music were thick as a brick...jethro came thru, alice cooper, yes in 72, Blue oYster Cult, lynrd skynerd, charle daniels, then eagles 3 times in 70 s. joe and them were awesome. foghat opened for yes....oh yeah ozzie and black sabbath. i think dr hook and the medicine band opened for him. bever went to a grateful dead concert. thought they sucked.

The first time I heard Joe was out at sea when I was in the Navy in late 1969. Just got through smoking some Thai Stick. I was already floatin'. That music sent me away. Still does. JOE.

got rides again shortly after it came out. I was turned on the James Gang when they opened for Hendrix in 70. Literally wore the lp out. I might add the concert is in my top 10,,great music creates wonderful memories.

I saw Walsh with the Barnstormers perfom this at a small venue in phx back in '74. He played it perfectly. It sounded like 3 guitars playing during the solo. One of the most incredible musical evenings I ever witnessed.

Great Posting ! ! Joe Walsh is still King to me. I was like sixteen when this came out and I am indelibly imprinted upon by this, bass line and all ! ! !
SO many have failed to truely see the genus of Joe Walsh this song is one of many that just didn't get air time for some unknown reason.
His style of music I feel will live on even after he goes to the great stage in the next place in time.

I chose this song from the So What album because it was one of his so many great works almost all of the song Joe Walsh did had some kind of message or theme.
His unique stlye is what made James gang and of course Joe Walsh also he contributed so much to The Eagles.
Ironic they all got to gether to be the back up group for Linda Ronstad. and became one of the biggest groups ever.
