The Design team came up with a one motor design concept and prototype for retrieving the basket balls. The prototype is made of plywood frame using one wheel, 1\2 inch rods, rubber tracks, and duck tape. Using a cordless drill and the wall, the ball will be able to go under the center of the robot and be picked up from the rear using only one motor. Using one motor design will help reserve power when we need it. When we marry the ball shoot and the retriever devices, all 3 balls will be able to be held before shooting. Additionally, the electrical team will be adding sensors to indicate there are 3 balls onboard. So we don't face penallties having more than one ball.
