Teófilo Stevenson Lawrence, cubano de Puerto Padre, provincia Las Tunas, conquistou três Olimpíadas, três Campeonatos Mundiais, dois Pan-Americanos e doze títulos em seu país. É o maior pugilista amador da história do boxe e o melhor dos melhores: Um fenômeno!
Como todos que amam o boxe eu gostaria de assistir a melhor luta da história, que não aconteceu. Meu maiores ídolos: Cassius Clay X Teofilo Stevenson. Todos se perguntam quem ganharia. Os dois eram técnicos, inteligentes e observadores. Clay tinha mais pegada, mas Stevenson era mais clássico e usava múltiplos golpes.
Penso que assim foi melhor... Não queria a derrota de nenhum dos dois. Um eterno sonho e uma grande lenda.

@evelioto Igor Vysotsky de Russia (antigua URSS), eso es asi....aunque seas el mejor siempre hay alguien que es la "orma de tu zapato", pero igual muy orgulloso de lo que hizo Stevenson en su tiempo, tuve el honor de siendo un nino conocerlo y se mostro muy amistoso a pesar de todas las "anecdotas" que se contaban de su personalidad ...

Efectivamente le gano dos veces a Stevenson .

Y como tu dices, no era en aquel entonces el mejor de la Union sovietica.

Solamente ,que no le tenia miedo y subia al ring para fajarse y no como hacian otros que subian al cuadrilatero con miedo y al menor golpesito se caian y no se levantaban mas .

@mow1717 . Well my friend Fidel gave him the oportunity to become the amateour boxing champion for long time. Stevenson love the revolution and Fidel, so he never came to USA to become a pro because he did't want to doit. Maybe without Fidel Stevenson even would have not learn amateours boxing.
