@Spartan8239 Wouldn't it be easier to check their citations rather than making false, ad hominem attacks about them?

Allegro's voice is awesome. Cultured yet not too pretentious

Jesus may have been a mushroom, but he was still a cool guy with good ideas. Christians are at fault with their worship and judgments, but the evolution of the Christ Awareness is a positive one. It's the belief in a Chosen people that is the truly sinister concept. Jews are mostly lovely people but we are ONE RACE, and Israeli leaders are taking advantage of that old ego-boosting concept of a Chosen people to further their twisted greed and psychotic desires.

The serpent is underground, where the mushroom comes from. The serpent is the one who told eve about the fruit of the tree...
That may well be true, but you've set up a straw man argument, saying Christians believe things that many if not most do not believe in, citing art and stupid extra bibilical traditions as "evidence". The point wasn't that the book was superior, it was meant to illustrate that the things that are held up as evidence are irrelevant to your argument. I admire Allegro's work in exposing the deception about the DSS, but I think he takes things too far when suggesting a secret mushroom society.

@Bunnies4wool Then you're clearly unaware of the research, the ancient primary documents that specifically discuss the "holy mushroom", and you're unfamiliar with the art analysis of Dr. John Rush in The Mushroom in Christian Art, and you seem to not recognize your own false argument in "what the Bible says" not recognizing who canonized the bible, what was removed, and other primary documents surrounding the period. I suggest you learn about the esoteric and exoteric teachings of Christianity.

@Bunnies4wool It's humorous that you're not up on the last 41 years of entheogen scholarship in relation to Christianity, not aware of newly discovered texts and icons, images and paintings, publications, etc, and yet you feel confident to make comment - when you couldn't even get past the first 10 min of a near 2 hour documentary before you starting screaming your proclamations of Paul. Appeal to belief? How convenient for the Church to argue such things while practicing them. Don't look there!

So you believe Christians were the ultimate hypocrites? Paul preaches against secret societies, & yet they hid their own writings? This is but one contradiction I noticed in this video. Also, Christians do not claim Easter or Christmas celebrations nor any other of the myriad Holy days of the Roman church as legitimate Christian events.(taken to be Babylonian). I have my doubts about scripture since the release of the DSS. I also think Jews stole many Assyrian beliefs. But this video? No.

@Bunnies4wool Try watching the whole video without commenting on part 1 of 12, and also read the book that contains hundreds of citations. And Paul is under high contention that he never existed.
As for Christmas and Easter, your claim is absurd and dismisses the in your face holiday celebrations. Maybe certain factions of Christians don't celebrate this, but to say that Christians as a whole done is ignorant at best.

@GnosticMedia And you need to read the book "The two Babylons", generally agreed upon as debunking Roman Catholic holidays among protestants. None of them are mentioned in the bible. Xmas = Saturnalia, Easter - doesn't even disguise it's name, Osiris worship. The Two Babylons attempts to make the case that the Roman Church is evil and will lead to the antichrist, but most protestants believe that is a complete overstatement. Anti secret society themes abound, though not specifically.stated.

@Bunnies4wool A biased book from protestants. And who wrote the Bible? How did the Bible in it's current form become canonized? When? What books were left out? Protestantism came out of Catholicism, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. The main issue the protestants had was being able to buy your way out of hell. Christianity in all its forms is just the latest retelling of a far older myth. Even Jesus himself is taken from much older myths and legends. There's nothing new there.
