Harry Fawcett on Anwar Ibrahim's acquittal

Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has been acquitted in a surprise end to a politically-charged sodomy trial.

The popular leader has called the trial a government bid to cripple his opposition ahead of upcoming polls.

How very tactful this news report is! They manage to discuss this issue without mentioning the name of Mr Mahathir (who initiated & encouraged the whole grubby alleged 'sodomy' campaign against his political opponent, Mr Ibrahim) even once! The wise Malaysian Court has spoken. Mahathir is NOT the 'silent dictator' he likes to imagines himself to be. This shows how Mahathir & his thugs tried to discredit a moral man, not afraid to take on such bullies. Mahathir is now publicly seen to be a Liar.

Deceitful Mamak Mahathir has a lot to answer for all this with the first 'framed' sodomy charge. High Court Judge M.Zabidin M Diah made the right & wise decision- it would be totally different if we were still ruled by Mamak Mahathir.
