!!!DO NOT UPDATE TO 3.42 ON PS3!!!

First Step
How to Bypass PS3 firmware 3.42 update
Set your IP: 67.202.81.137 as your primary & secondary DNS on your PS3 and you should be able to bypass 3.42 firmware update.

!!!!!!!!FIRST STEP DOES NOT WORK SONY HAS BLOCK PSN ACCESS VIA DNS WILL UPDATE YOU ASAP ON NEW WAY TO ACCESS PSN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Second Step
Steps 1-7 to be done on your android phone
Your phone needs to be rooted or you cannot go ahead
Also make a Nandroid backup of your current rom for easy flashing back
1. Copy OpenDesire-4.0.4.zip plus enable-psfreedom-OpenDesire- 4.0.4.zip and disable-psfreedom-OpenDesire-4.0.4.zip to your SD card.
2. Reboot into the Recovery console.
3. Install/flash OpenDesire-4.0.4.zip then reboot.
4. Once again reboot into the Recovery console but this time Install/flash enable-psfreedom-OpenDesire-4.0.4.zip then reboot.
5. Kill the power to your PS3, switch on the back (PS3 Fat) or unplug from the wall (PS3 Slim) and connect your phone via USB
6. Put manager.pkg onto a USB Stick and plug into PS3
7. Re-enable power and press the PS3 power button followed by the eject button in quick succession.
8. !!Your PS3 is now hacked!! You'll see "Install Package Files" under GAME on the XMB, press X and install Backup Manager.

NOTE

To run backup manager again you will need to have your android phone connect and follow steps 1-5 every time

To return your phone to normal just boot back to recovery and flash PS3-No-More-signed.zip or restore your Nandroid Backup........It's that easy.

Known bugs:
• This will disable Wi-Fi and USB mass storage until the disable-psfreedom-OpenDesire-4.0.4.zip is flashed.

@cobretti97 yes they will plus a new jailbreak is out now so u can be on latest firmware 3.55 and now have to use a jailbreak device because there is now custom firmware which u can install and have a permanent jailbreak i will b doing a new video monday showing this.
