This is personally my favorite book, I never got bored of reading it. I finally ordered the movie a year ago and it was well worth it. A very underlooked novel and movie, I thought it was hilarious that this was the first Disney movie to have sex and drugs in it and appearently the guy who played Mason in this got a Golden Globe nod. The movie has a good feel to it, a rural middle-america 70s 80s style which I like.

Yeah same really, its such a good book and a great movie, i also ordered it like a year ago and it remains one of my favorite movies.

Yeah. Matt played Dallas Winston, aka Dally, in The Outsiders. He played in a lot of movies adapted from S.E. Hinton books. Emilio and Diane Lane did as well. They did a great job in The Outsiders. I read it again for about the dozenth time and just watched the movie again tonight. Like the book more, but most times that's how it is anyways. My favorite will always be Outsiders, but this is a close second.

awwww!!! isn't matt just the dreamiest! thankx for the memories! i liked tex better than the outsiders and still do! 45 years old and still love matt just as much~if not more now that he has become such a fine person! he is still a doll!
