A magnificent closing speech in a debate by journalist and undisputed titan of secularism - Christopher Hitchens (13 April 1949 -- 15 December 2011)

The Enlightenment shall shine a little less brightly now that he is sadly gone.

  • "Take the risk of thinking for yourself. Much more happiness, truth, beauty, and wisdom will come to you that way." - Hitchens

    it's good advice.

  • @rockos414

    I wholeheartedly concur.

This is my final comment to you. After that, I will not reply to a single thing you say. Your delusional beliefs in a New World Order and Obama being a Kenyan have revealed you be a rude and petulant conspiracy believer. I have tried my best to be civil with you, but you clearly didn't think it decent to reciprocate. That says a lot more about you than it does Hitchens.

This has not been a conversation but instead an unwarranted barrage of unlettered slurs from yourself.

500,000 Iraqi children may be dead. There's nothing I can do to change that and neither can you. Just because Hitchens supported the campaign in Iraq does not mean he either implicitly or explicitly wished the deaths of half a million children. Nonetheless, I am not having this conversation with you. You say things are "wasted on me" when you don't even know me or any of the people you have routinely and unapologetically insulted ever since you appeared on this page

  • Thank you, Mr. Hitchens.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment I share your sentiments about Hitchens being a warmonger, but I think he has more qualities and more good choices than bad ones.

  • "But this present window of opportunity, during which a truly peaceful and interdependent world order might be built, will not be open for long. Already there are powerful forces at work that threaten to destroy all of our hopes and efforts to erect an enduring structure of global interdependence."

---David Rockefeller, speaking at the Business Council for the United Nations, September 14, 1994

  • David Rockefeller: Unashamed Predatory Globalist

"Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure---one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

    --David Rockefeller, “Memoirs,” page 405

  • @ardendogma : You profess your admiration for a warmonger and then contradict yourself.

  • @ardendogma : There's no MAYBE about it: 500,000 children have been murdered by the New World Order. Hitchens always supports the status quo. He supports Kenyan Obama who has escalated total war throughout the East.
